I co-founded Iterable in 2013, out of a small office in downtown San Francisco. We wanted to give any company the kind of personalized customer messaging that, back then, took a team of engineers to pull off.

More than a decade later, it runs communication for more than 1,200 incredible brands around the world. I've worn dozens of hats along the way, including: President through the early years, then 4+ years as CEO from 2021 to 2025, the stretch where we crossed both $100M and $200M in annual recurring revenue. In mid-2025 I handed off the CEO seat and became Chief Scientist, to focus on hard, technical problems again. Mostly that means Nova, our agentic AI.

Before founding Iterable, I worked at Google in their Mountain View, CA headquarters. Prior to that, I studied Business, Computer Science, and Information Systems at Boston College.

In my spare time, I enjoy the challenge of security research. I've discovered and responsibly disclosed High- and Critical-severity vulnerabilities in Google Chrome, Android, Apple macOS, Samsung, and TikTok, among dozens of other major software companies and products.

I also invest in and advise early-stage companies. A few of my angel investments include Multiply, HyperArc (acquired by Zendesk), Arena.im, Teleskope.ai, and Mastra.

When I'm not at the computer, you can find me behind the chessboard, riding my bike, or trail running somewhere in the Bay Area. I'm lucky to have a wonderful wife and two amazing boys.

Email me if you want to talk about agents, kernel bugs, or company building, or just to say hi.
